The Willoughby Symphony launches 'Enduring Passion'

The Willoughby Symphony have launched their highly anticipated 2017 Subscription Series - Enduring Passion, featuring six magnificent concerts that traverse a sublime musical landscape of beloved classics and innovative new music.
One of Australia’s most remarkable orchestral organisations, the Willoughby Symphony are widely celebrated for captivating performances that showcase their incredible aptitude across the entire symphonic repertoire and for an annual subscription series that encompasses beloved classics, innovative new music and family-oriented productions that engage and delight audiences of all ages.
The Willoughby Symphony have been led since 2001 by Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Dr Nicholas Milton AM, who is renowned for his dynamic conducting style and compelling music integrity. Nicholas has established an outstanding European reputation for his charismatic stage presence and thrilling interpretations of an extensive opera and concert repertoire.
As well as performing the six concert series, the Willoughby Symphony will also present two children’s concerts - Mini-Maestros and 1001 Nights, as well as the ever-popular Last Night of the Proms and beloved family concert, The Magic of Christmas.
In an exciting addition to the 2017 Season, the Willoughby Symphony welcomes award winning composer and pianist, Daniel Rojas as Composer-In-Residence. Renowned for his stunning live improvisations, Daniel’s passion lies in the indigenous, folk and popular music of Latin America.
