Popular lunchtime concert series Live at Lunch presents the 2016 Season finale concert, The Vampire Diaries, starring brilliant pianist Simon Tedeschi and international flautist Jane Rutter.

Inspired by a love of Hungarian and Transylvanian music, the powerhouse duo will perform a classical programme of passionate and lyrical Eastern European music by Bartok, Doppler, Liszt and Brahms.

Described as one of the finest artists in the world, Simon Tedeschi first performed Mozart at the Sydney Opera House at the tender age of nine. Since then, he has gained a string of awards under his belt including ‘Most Outstanding in all Youth Sections’ at the IBLA Grand Prize in Italy, the Royal Overseas League Music Competition in London and the Melbourne Symphony’s Young Performer of the Year. More recently, Simon was awarded a Centenary of Federation Medal by the Prime Minister of Australia.

“The evocative folk melodies of Bartok, Doppler, Liszt and Brahms will conjure up the romantic, the vampiric and the impish in all of us,” said Live at Lunch Artistic Director, Jane Rutter. “Don’t miss this spectacular end to another triumphant season of Live at Lunch,” she said.
