Celebrate Grandparents Day!

Bring the whole family along to celebrate Grandparents Day at the Dougherty Community Centre!
Held from 10am – 4pm, the event will include children’s art and craft activities throughout the day, face painting , a sausage sizzle and fun workshops for all ages to get involved in. Blend Café will also be open on the day, serving delicious Fair Trade coffee and freshly baked treats. 
The Art of a Stylish Selfie Workshop
10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm
Explore the art of taking photos with a phone, tablet or other mobile device with your grandchild. 
Growing Heirloom Tomatoes Workshop
12pm – 1.30pm & 2pm – 3.30pm
Learn how to grow your own colourful and delicious Heirloom tomatoes.
“Grandparents Day recognises the significant contribution that grandparents make, connecting us to the values, stories and histories of our families, our cultures and our communities,” said Willoughby Mayor, Gail Giles-Gidney. “Come along and celebrate our wonderful grandparents at this fun day out for the whole family,” she said.
