Australia’s longest running and leading commercial puppet company, Puppeteria Theatre, is back for a fifth year at the 2010 Willoughby Spring Festival with a line up of two new shows, Sing a Song of Sixpence and Alice in Wonderland.
Professional puppeteers, Jackie and John Lewis, will helm a selection of their 1,000 plus Jeral Puppets to create enthralling puppet theatre that will amuse children of all ages and awaken their imaginations with fascinating story lines and fun sing-alongs.
Younger children, aged two to five, will be delightfully amused with the Sing a Song of Sixpence show, a program that features fascinating stories, lively songs and comedy items.
The Alice in Wonderland show, for children aged three to nine, is based on Lewis Carroll’s classic story. Children will love to follow Alice down the rabbit hole into the tipsy, turvy world of Wonderland where she meets the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Blue Caterpillar and the Queens of Hearts.
“Puppet theatre is a great way to introduce young children to live theatre, and because we have a large repertoire of more than 100 shows, each year there’s a brand new show for children to see,” said Puppeteer, John Lewis.
Puppeteria Theatre is Castle Cove based puppet theatre, which has been entertaining audiences with their enthralling shows for more than 40 years.
