Car maintenance course for women
11 June 2009
Willoughby City Council, in association with Tower Motors, will host a free car maintenance course for women, providing practical hands-on information on how to carry out basic car maintenance tasks, 6.30 to 8.30, Wednesday 24 June 2009, Tower Motors, 72 Holterman Street, Crows Nest.
Female car owners will get advice on how to check their engine oil, tyre pressure, and fluid levels independently, saving them time and money with fewer trips to the mechanic and reducing the threat of inconvenient breakdowns.
“Basic car maintenance skills can help prevent unnecessary and costly repairs,” said Jeff Smit, Tower Motors Automotive Technician.
“The advantage of knowing a little bit more about your car will also enable you to understand what your repairer is talking about next time your car is being serviced,’ he said.
“The workshop will not only equip women with car repair skills but also cut down money spent at the mechanics,” said Willoughby Mayor, Pat Reilly.
