Sensational Cycling this NSW Bike Week

16 September 2009

Willoughby City Council is offering a host of sensational cycling workshops and activities to celebrate NSW Bike Week. The Roads and Traffic Authority’s NSW Bike Week, sponsored by the NSW Government, runs from 26 September to 4 October.

NSW Bike Week is a state-wide project aimed at raising the profile of cycling as a healthy, low-cost and environmentally friendly alternative to driving for short trips in the local community.

The following practical workshops aim to encourage more residents to cycle more often and will cover essential cycling skills that will give Willoughby residents the confidence to get out on their bikes more often.

“The City of Willoughby has an extensive network of bike tracks,” said Willoughby Mayor, Pat Reilly.

“The activities held as part of NSW Bike Week can help equip you with the skills to leave the car at home and take your bike instead,” he said.
