Chatswood High School will turn back the clock to school life 50 years ago, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a festival day as part of this year’s Willoughby Spring Festival.

Past, current and future school students, family and friends are invited to come along and rejoice the 50th anniversary festival day.

To commemorate the celebration, there will be a time capsule containing a number of items that reflect school life at Chatswood High in 2009, locked away and preserved for future generations of students.

Throughout the day, revellers can enjoy thrilling carnival rides, a selection of food and drinks, competitions, live dance group and musical performances.

“The 50th Anniversary Festival Day gives mums, dads and grandparents and opportunity to share their high school memories with children, reflect and reminisce on their past school life and provides a chance for them to share some wonderful stories,” said Willoughby Mayor, Pat Reilly.

Chatswood High school students were involved in the planning process of the 50th Anniversary Festival Day and will take a front seat in showcasing the school.
