Victorian Bush Fire Appeal: Community urged to donate and help out those in need

To assist communities affected by the devastating Victorian bush fires, Willoughby City Council will be collecting donations for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal from 8.30 am to 9.30pm, Thursday 12 and 19 February, Melody Market, Chatswood Mall, Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.
Residents and the wider community are encouraged to donate and help out families and communities struck by the natural disaster in this time of crises.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to all those families who have lost loved ones and homes amidst the terrible fires,” said Willoughby Mayor, Pat Reilly.
“I urge residents and the wider community to come together and donate to assist those affected by the terrible disaster,” he said.
“We are also investigating further avenues of support including sending qualified council staff to assist with the clean up and work rebuilding,” he said.
