Immunisation

Council run a free immunisation clinic for all children under five years of age. You do not need to be a resident of the area.

The clinic runs on the first Thursday of every month at the Dougherty Community Centre, 7 Victor Street, Chatswood, and is open for most shots from 2pm to 3.30pm, and then from 6pm to 7.30pm. Measles Mumps Rubella (MMR) shots are available between 2pm - 3pm and 6pm - 7pm. No appointment is needed.

The Australian Standard Vaccination Schedule is followed, immunising against the following diseases:

  • Hepatitis B
  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Haemophilus Influenzae Type B
  • Meningococcal C
  • Varicella
  • Pneumococcal
  • Rotarix
