Housing Options

The  Housing for People Over 55 - 368 KB publication provides comprehensive information for residents and their families explaining the housing options available so they can make informed choices. This publication is also available from the Help & Service Centre, the Dougherty Centre or Chatswood Library.

The guide provides suggestions for planning to remain living in your own home. Services are listed that will assist with modifications that may be required to make your home comfortable and maintain your independence.

In addition there is advice for those planning to move to another house or unit, contact details for Centrelink’s Financial Information Service and Pension Loans Scheme, and information on protecting your rights.

Details of aged accommodation, such as retirement villages and nursing homes, in and around Willoughby are provided.

Please contact the Aged & Disability Services Co-ordinator on 9777 7975 from 8.30am to 5pm weekdays for any additional information.
