Help us shape Willoughby’s Local Centres
Posted: Monday, 4 December 2017
The City of Willoughby is growing, with the population expected to increase by 18% in the next 20 years to more than 89,000 people.
In February 2017, Council started a conversation with the community about how to plan for this future growth. Position statements on Housing and Local Centres were published as part of the Willoughby Planning Strategy to 2036.
Council has now engaged specialists to provide urban planning advice for each of our seven key Local Centres: Artarmon, Northbridge, Victoria Avenue / Penshurst Street, High Street, Castlecrag, Penshurst Street / Mowbray Road, Castlecrag and Naremburn.
You’re invited to attend a drop-in session
Meet with Council staff to discuss planning concepts for your centre and share your ideas about what works well and what would benefit from a change.
This information will help Council to draft a Housing Strategy and Local Centres Strategy which will then be exhibited for further feedback in 2018.
