Development Applications: Changes taking effect from 1 March 2018
Posted: Tuesday, 10 April 2018
Development applications are now determined by the Sydney North Planning Panel, the Willoughby Local Planning Panel or by Council officers. Willoughby City Councillors are no longer involved in the determination of development applications. This is a result of State Government legislative changes which commenced on 1 March 2018.
Councillors’ focus will be upon strategic planning and policy creation. This will include developing appropriate controls and standards through Planning Proposals, Local Environmental Plans and Development Control Plan provisions.
There are no changes to the way development applications are submitted.
