Changes to Notification Process related to DA
Posted: Friday, 29 November 2019
Displaying Notification Sign for your DA is now YOUR responsibility!
On 11 November 2019, Council resolved to adopt the Willoughby Community Participation Plan which will take effect upon being published on the Department of Planning, Industry & Environment’s ePlanning Portal by 1 December 2019.
This Plan has incorporated changes to the Notification Process associated with Development Applications (DA).
A critical change is that, from 29 November 2019, the applicant is responsible for displaying the Notification Sign on site for its related Development Application (DA).
A Notification Sign (A4 size) will be posted to the applicant upon acknowledgement of the DA.
For the purpose of public awareness of any DA submitted to Council, the related Notification Sign is expected to be placed on the development site at approx. 1.5m from ground level VISIBLY to the nearest public place (e.g. footpath)
Within 2 days of completion of the notification period, you must submit to Council (firstname.lastname@example.org) a photograph of the sign placed in position and also a completed Statutory Declaration form that declares the sign was satisfactorily placed and maintained on display for the nominated time period.
