Grants

There are numerous community groups and individuals who undertake invaluable projects to benefit and assist the people of Willoughby. These projects promote community involvement, enhance quality of life and strengthen our community networks.

Council offers grants to assist community based group, not for profit organisations, and individuals.

Applications are now open for non-profit community organisations to run innovative events during the Willoughby Spring Festival. Community Grants Scheme

The Community Grants Scheme is a small grants program designed to assist local community-based groups and individuals. Applications for 2008 are now closed. There are two Categories; Community Development and Arts and Cultural.

The Community Development Category is aimed at assisting non-profit, community groups delivering local services. Examples of these groups might include; child care services, respite care services, youth groups, and support groups for special needs residents. Athletes and sporting bodies may also apply under this category. For more information call Kathryn Ridley on 9777 7970.

The Arts & Cultural Category is aimed at community groups and individuals wishing to undertake an arts-based project. Artists may be amateru/emerging, tertiary student, or professional, and must deliver a project that will principally serve the residents of Willoughby. Projects are encouraged that are unique to Willoughby and celebrate and explore our community life.
