Council owns and maintains a number of different buildings on the behalf of the community. There are sportsgrounds, kitchen spaces, meeting rooms, community centres, theatres, exhibition spaces, youth spaces and more. Some of these are available for hire.
Community groups use these places for activities such as playgroups, classes, fund-raisers, celebrations, dramas and concerts. Businesses use the spaces for events like conferences and seminars. What you use the facilities for is almost up to your imagination!

By hiring these spaces out for reasonable prices, Council both provides the community with low-cost gathering places as well as generating revenue for their upkeep.
