Food & Garden Grow Your Own
Growing fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables at home is fun, healthy and doesn’t require much room. Seasonal planting for Sydney conditions will help you have a successful crop. The ABC has a useful guide for seasonal planting in Sydney.
Look out for organic seedlings at your local growers and produce markets or nurseries. You can grow from seed or grow from scraps like the ends of celery, pineapples or garlic cloves.
There are a number of community gardens in Willoughby where you can learn to grow your own fruit and vegetables or you could register your interest in our Garden Share Project either as a volunteer gardener or host.
