ClimateClever Power Tracker

Students can see the results of efforts to reduce energy consumption.

In the classroom teachers and students can download data from the web interface and look at patterns and trends over the year.

The Power Tracker is an award to recognise a school’s progress towards becoming ClimateClever.

In applying for the award, each school committed to a carbon reduction target (based on energy use) of at least 15 per cent by 2015. The schools will incorporate energy conservation measures, improve energy efficiency and will use renewable energy to reduce their carbon emissions.

What is the Power Tracker?

The Power Tracker is a real-time energy logger to assist schools in tracking progress to meeting their target. The system reports CO2 emissions, costs and consumption in half-hour intervals. This allows students to see results from school wide efforts, such as turning off lights during lunch time. Data can also be downloaded into the classroom and used during lessons.
