In order to effectively take care of Willoughby’s bushland, and to comply with statutory obligations, Council has put together the Urban Bushland Plan of Management for its bushland areas. This document provides a framework for all projects conducted, and gives practical details of the ‘why, how and by whom’ for each action. Willoughby City Council adopted the Urban Bushland Plan of Management in March 1997.
The aims and objectives of the plan are to:
Volume 1 provides an overview of bushland in Willoughby, identifies key impacts and issues, and establishes objectives, policies and performance targets.
Volume 2 provides a projected program of actions which are prioritised and given as responsibilities. This is the working document for the plan.
Volume 3 contains detailed information, such as maps of each reserve, the plants and animals present, and other site-specific details. This volume is available in individual site segments for the convenience of those who only want information on one site.
