Dougherty Community Centre

The Dougherty Community Centre is a multi-purpose facility, offering rooms for hire for events and meetings, as well as large number of community events.

The Dougherty Centre is located in the heart of Chatswood and is only a 12-minute drive from the Sydney CBD. The centre is surrounded by parking facilities and is just a short stroll to shops, clubs and public transport.

We offer eleven flexible rooms for hire, able to accommodate 2-200 people. We can provide audio-visual equipment, catering, an in-house cafe and a team of experienced professionals who will work with you to ensure your event's success!

Kitchen Hire

The Dougherty Community Centre commercial kitchen is available for casual or ongoing kitchen hire for caterers, cooking classes and similar.

Facilities include commercial ovens, gas burners, walk in cool rooms, dishwasher, stainless steel preparation benches and (limited) dry goods storage.

Room hire & Function Catering

There are a variety of rooms available seven days a week for functions, meetings and events for 2 to 200 people. The Centre is close to public transport and public parking, and is wheelchair accessible. A paved garden courtyard and on-site community café are additional facilities which are very popular with our visitors. Our experienced and helpful staff will be happy to assist you in planning and co-ordinating your special event.

Room set ups are pre-arranged to your requirements so you can be confident that your room is set up as you need it on arrival. Whiteboards, overhead projectors and microphones can be provided free of charge and audio-visual equipment is also available for hire (TV, DVD and data projector).

Our professional function catering service is able to cater for a full range of events from breakfast meetings, working lunches, morning and afternoon teas to gourmet finger food for special events. Please call 9777 7800 for catering menus.
