About CouncilCab
CouncilCab is a transport service operating within the Willoughby City Council area. CouncilCab taxis operate on a shared ride basis and are available between 10.00am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am and 4.30pm on Saturdays.
CouncilCab Vouchers
A single CouncilCab trip costs $4 per passenger for travel anywhere within the Willoughby area (please see the map below for detail). A voucher is required pay for each trip. CouncilCab vouchers can only be purchased in books of 5 vouchers for $20. Vouchers can be purchased from:
- CouncilCab drivers
- Willoughby City Council's Help & Service Centre, Level 4, 31 Victor Street, Chatswood (Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5pm)
- Dougherty Community Centre, 7 Victor Street, Chatswood (Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5pm)
Bookings
This service must be booked by 4pm the day before you wish to travel. To book a CouncilCab phone 8332 8338. This line is open 24 hours a day. Bookings can be made up to one week in advance.
When making a booking please provide the following information:
- Your name, or the name of the person to be collected
- The pick up address and destination
- The number of passengers
- The time you wish to be picked up
- Whether this is a single or return trip
- If a return trip, the time you would like to be picked up
Please note that the cab may arrive up to an hour after the time you have requested. Please take this into consideration when making your booking. For a more accurate pick up time, phone 8332 8338 after 8pm the evening before your trip.

The CouncilCab only operates within Artarmon, Castle Cove, Castlecrag, Chatswood, Chatswood West, Middle Cove, North Willoughby, Northbridge, Willoughby, Willoughby East and parts of Lane Cove North, Naremburn, Roseville and St Leonards.
