How does it operate?
A unit is installed in your home by a connection to a power point and the telephone socket. You wear the small, lightweight pendant during the day and at night. The pendant will activate the unit from inside or outside the average home (but not away from your home).
When you press your personal alarm pendant your details instantly appear on the computer screen of the 24-hour emergency response operators, and they immediately begin voice-to-voice contact with you.
The emergency response operators speedily organise assistance, from either Emergency Services or a family member, neighbour or friend who was nominated by you and has given their approval.
The operators remain in voice contact until assistance arrives.
The pendants are waterproof and lightweight, and can also be worn on a wrist strap or as a clip.
Your telephone is not changed, and you are not charged for using your pendant.
Constant Companion staff install the emergency monitoring equipment in your home, attend to the maintenance of the equipment, and look after your accounts.
You also have the option of a security key lock. This is for holding your spare keys to your home. This ensures quick and easy access by responders and emergency services.
