Volunteering

Council has many opportunities for people wishing to be involved in some form of community activity.  Volunteers provide a wide range of valuable services in Willoughby's social, environmental and cultural well-being.

Some of the areas in which Council enlists the assistance of volunteers include:

Applying to be a Council Volunteer

If you wish to become a volunteer with Council, complete the  Volunteer Application Form.

If you do apply to be a volunteer, the relevant Supervisor  will contact you to arrange an interview. If after the interview you and the Supervisor agree on an appropriate volunteer position you will be asked to read and sign a  Volunteer Agreement - 193 KB prior to taking up your voluntary duties.

Voluntary Employment with Child-Related Activities

If the voluntary position for which you are applying involves direct interaction with children or young people under the age of 18, you will be required to have a Working with Children Check - Volunteer.

Duke of Edinburgh - opportunities for students

Council welcomes Duke of Edinburgh volunteers and has opportunities for students to volunteer across Council.
