The Lower North Shore Multicultural Aged Day Care (ADC) Program is operated by the Ethnic Services Unit within Willoughby City Council. This centre-based activity program is a Home and Community Care (HACC) service funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care supported by Council. The program aims to promote companionship for older people in a group setting and maintain their wellbeing through gentle exercise and stimulating game activities. Carers can benefit from the respite time this program provides.
Older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds residing on the lower North Shore within the Lane Cove, North Sydney, Mosman and Willoughby Local Government areas are invited to attend this activity program. The program is held on Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm. Participants enjoy gentle exercise, board games, arts and crafts, information talks and monthly outings. Morning tea and lunch are provided. Transport assistance is considered upon request. The program is delivered by caring staff and dedicated volunteers. Small program fees applied.
If you need to speak to Council in your home language about a Council service, or you need help, call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450. You will need to ask an interpreter to contact Council for you. Enquiry on this program can be directed to 9777 7992. This interpreting service is free of charge.
