Vacation Care

Vacation Care services provide care to primary school aged children during the NSW gazetted school holiday periods. Council operates three Vacation Care services:

Summer 2011 Vacation Care

Bookings for Vacation Care Summer 2011 will be taken at Council's Help and Service Centre, level 4, 31 Victor Street, Chatswood, from Monday 5 December 2011.

New National Regulations for OOSH services requires that all parents/guardians complete a new enrolment form at this time as services are legally required to obtain particular information in relation to the children they will be providing care to. Parents/guardians are also required to complete a full enrolment package every 12 months.

  4. pdf format Summer 2011-2012 - Vacation Care - Asthma Action Plan (108.73 KB) - If parents inform us that their child has been diagnosed with Asthma they are required, under the Education and Care Services Regulation to provide us with an asthma action plan. If your child has asthma you are required to have the plan completed by your child’s doctor. The completed plan must then be attached to your enrolment form, or given to the service director prior to commencement of care.

Vacation Care at any of Council’s three services costs $40 per day per child. Fees may be reduced if families are eligible for the Child Care Benefit.

Council’s Vacation Care services comply with the National Standards for Outside School Hours Care, and participate in the Outside School Hours Care Quality Assurance process. Staff provide leisure and recreation based programs, and generally there is an excursion available on most days. Children are required to bring their own morning tea and lunch.
