You are here: Home Business & Community Aged & Disability Companion Card
People with a disability who require a carer, often need to pay for themselves and a companion to attend an event or performance. This can make outings expensive. If a disabled person holds a Companion Card, the carer can attend events or performances for free, if the event is hosted by a Companion Card affiliate.
The Companion Card allows people with a significant and permanent disability, who require attendant care for the rest of their lives, to participate in community activities and events without discrimination.
For more information about the card, visit the National Disability Services website.
Willoughby understands that it can be expensive for those with a disability to pay for themselves and a companion. Therefore Council agrees to issue a second ticket or entry at no charge to Companion Card holders.
