Many members of the Willoughby community are Chinese, and they sure know how to celebrate. On Saturday 31st January 2009, Chatswood Mall was transformed into a sea of lucky red and gold in greeting the arrival of the Year of the OX.

With traditional Chinese music and performances, food and market stalls as well as festive decorations, fire crackers and lion dancing, our celebrations in Chatswood are only second to Sydney City’s in Chinatown.

Chinese New Year Celebrations are produced by the Chinese Cultural Centre of NSW with support from Willoughby City Council.

Check back in early 2010 for more information about next year's "Year Of The Tiger".
