Willoughby City Council Children's Services operates a range of services for children under the age of 12 years. This includes two Long Day Care centres, the Willoughby/Lane Cove Family Day Care Scheme, three Vacation Care centres, three After School Care centres and one Before School Care centre. All of Council’s services strive to provide high quality care and actively participate in the National Quality Assurance process. Please read the

Children's Services also provides general information about child care for parents and service providers. The Willoughby Childcare Directory outlines many child related services in the local area, including Long Day Care centres, Pre-schools, playgroups and family support services. The Child Care Access Hotline (freecall 1800 670 305) provides information on childcare and helps with locating child care services in your area that may have vacancies.
Children's Services staff are actively involved in promoting quality care by supporting groups such as the OOSH Network, being responsive to Families First initiatives, and providing talks to new parent groups at the local Early Childhood Health Centres.
