Celebrate What's Great on Australia Day
Tuesday 26 January, 2010
Join in celebrating the good things about Australia and being Australian in the 2010 Australia Day celebrations.
The 2010 Australia day celebrations, lead by Australia Day ambassador, coincide with the Willoughby Citizen of the Year Award ceremony, supported by Australia Post.
The awards recognise citizens who either live, work or give voluntary time and effort within the community and will be available in four categories: Citizen of the Year Award, Award for Services to Young People, Young Citizen of the Year Award and Cultural and Community Building Award.
The Willoughby City Australia Day Children's Choir and the Willoughby Band will perform on the day. A BBQ will be provided by Chatswood Rotary Club.
Australia Day is a public holiday celebrated all throughout Australia. It gives us the opportunity consider and appreciate what we love about Australia and Australians. For more information, visit the National Australia Day Council.
