Apartment Living

An apartment building in Willoughby In November 2007 Willoughby City Council hosted the Apartment Living Forum, an initiative designed to provide pratical advice and information to Willoughby residents who live in apartments. The forum was held at the Dougherty Community Centre in Chatswood and was attended by approximately 100 local residents and members of the Owner’s Corporation Network. Jimmy Thomson, TV scriptwriter, author and real estate journalist for the Sydney Morning Herald, presented his paper on “The Culture Clash – Mutually Exclusive Needs & the Way Forward Together.” Dr Haydn Washington, Council’s Director for Sustainability Projects also presented on  “Sustainable Living in Apartments” giving useful tips on how to live a “greener” life.
